Data & Power Platform Engineer – Microsoft Fabric

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Data & Power Platform Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Power Platform.

The role will build and operate modern data solutions while transforming business requirements and manual processes into scalable digital solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate Cloud, Power Automate Desktop (RPA), and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft Fabric & Data Engineering/Lead

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, clean, transform, and synchronize data from multiple sources.
• Work with Fabric Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake, Notebooks, Pipelines, and Dataflows Gen2.
• Build and optimize data models supporting analytics, applications, and business requirements.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data platform performance, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

Power Apps

• Design and develop business applications using Microsoft Power Apps, especially Canvas Apps.
• Translate business requirements and manual processes into user-friendly digital applications.
• Integrate Power Apps with Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, Microsoft 365, APIs, and enterprise data sources.
• Manage the application lifecycle from requirements and PoC through development, testing, deployment, and support.

Power Automate Cloud

• Design and implement automated workflows using Power Automate Cloud.
• Build approval workflows, notifications, data synchronization, scheduled processes, and system integrations.
• Integrate with Power Apps, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Dataverse, SQL, Power BI, and APIs.
• Implement proper monitoring, error handling, logging, and recovery mechanisms.

Power Automate Desktop / RPA

• Develop and maintain Power Automate Desktop (PAD) solutions for RPA.
• Automate repetitive desktop, browser, Excel, file-processing, and legacy application activities.
• Design reliable attended and unattended automation with appropriate exception handling and security.
• Assess when to use Cloud Flow, Desktop Flow/RPA, API integration, or a combination.

Power BI & Analytics

• Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
• Strong working knowledge of Power Query/M and DAX.
• Optimize data models and report performance and implement Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Integrate Power BI with Fabric, SQL, SharePoint, Dataverse, APIs, and other enterprise sources.
• Translate business KPIs into meaningful dashboards and actionable insights.

Business Solution & Consulting

• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand pain points, processes, and requirements.
• Identify digitalization and automation opportunities and recommend suitable solutions.
• Convert requirements into solution concepts, architecture, PoCs, and production-ready solutions.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Analysts, Solution Architects, IT teams, and business users.
• Provide technical consultation, documentation, user enablement, and continuous solution improvement.

Must Have

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Power Platform Developer, Automation Engineer, BI Developer, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Power Apps
  • Power Automate Cloud
  • Power Automate Desktop / RPA
  • Power BI
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or related Microsoft data technologies.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including query development and optimization.
• Experience with Power Query/M and DAX.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, connectors, and system integration.
• Good understanding of data architecture, data modeling, data integration, and data warehousing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.

Strong Advantage

• Experience with Dataverse and Power Platform solution architecture.
• Knowledge of Power Platform ALM, Solutions, Dev/Test/Prod environments, governance, security, and DLP policies.
• Experience with AI Builder, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, or GenAI integration.
• Experience with Python/PySpark, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Azure SQL.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, DevOps, and deployment automation.
• Experience in enterprise environments with security, compliance, and data governance requirements.
