Founding Account Executive - API & AI Platform

About the role:

Creative Fabrica has built a successful consumer product used by over a million subscribers. We are now opening our technology to businesses through an API that allows brands and technology partners to integrate our AI capabilities directly into their own products and customer experiences.

We are already seeing meaningful demand from brands and partners. Our next step is to turn that traction into a focused, repeatable B2B business.

We are looking for our first dedicated commercial hire: a hands-on Account Executive who can win customers while helping us build the sales motion from the ground up. As our Founding Account Executive, you will own the commercial process for our API platform, from identifying and qualifying opportunities through technical evaluation, commercial negotiation and closing.

This is not a role in which you inherit a finished playbook, a large SDR team or a perfectly organised CRM. You will work directly with the founder, technical lead and product team to determine which customers we should pursue, how we should position the API, and how we turn early market interest into recurring revenue.

You will personally sell. At the same time, you will establish the foundations on which we can later build a larger sales organisation.

What you will do:

• Own the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through discovery, technical evaluation, negotiation and closing.
• Convert existing inbound interest, partnerships and founder relationships into paying API customers.
• Build new pipeline within a clearly defined group of brands, platforms and technology partners.
• Sell to a combination of commercial and technical stakeholders, including product, innovation, digital, data, engineering and executive teams.
• Translate technical API and AI capabilities into clear business outcomes and commercial value.
• Coordinate API evaluations and proof-of-concept projects with our product and engineering teams.
• Help customers create a business case and successfully navigate procurement, security and legal reviews.
• Build and maintain a structured pipeline and accurate forecast in our CRM.
• Capture recurring objections, customer requirements and competitive information.
• Help refine our ideal customer profile, positioning, packaging and pricing.
• Document the initial sales playbook, including qualification criteria, messaging, sales stages and handover procedures.
• Represent the company at selected industry events and in conversations with strategic partners.

What you will need:

• 5–8 years of B2B sales experience, including 3+ years closing SaaS, API, AI, martech, developer-tool or other technical platform deals. Experience with our exact market is valuable, but a combination of technical sales ability, commercial judgment and early-stage execution is more important.
• Early-stage builder mindset with proven experience creating sales structure, processes, and playbooks from scratch.
• Full-cycle execution capable of self-generating pipeline while effectively converting inbound and founder-sourced leads.
• Technical fluency and intellectual curiosity to effectively pitch complex API/AI products to both developers and business leaders.
• Proven track record of independently managing multi-stakeholder buying cycles and consistently hitting revenue targets.
• Strategic collaboration skills to work alongside founders and product teams, translating market feedback into product growth.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch language skills are a strong bonus for our home market).

Nice to have:

• An established network among brands, digital platforms, e-commerce businesses or technology partners.
• Familiarity with enterprise procurement, information-security assessments, data-processing agreements and technical proof-of-concept projects.

What success looks like:

During your first month, you will:

• Master the product, API architecture, and existing customer pipeline.
• Take total ownership of active customer discovery and deal follow-ups.
• Build the sales framework by setting up CRM stages, qualification benchmarks, and forecasting routines.

Within three months, you will:

• Run the full cycle independently, closing your first cohort of API customers.
• Identify winning patterns across segments, use cases, and messaging.
• Document the first sales playbook while building a healthy revenue pipeline.

Within six months, you will:

• Secure ~€500,000 in new pre-paid API revenue at full productivity.
• Establish a repeatable sales motion for your highest-priority target segments.
• Provide data-driven insights to shape future commercial hiring and scale the business.

This role may not be right for you if:

• You are primarily looking to manage an existing sales team.
• You require an SDR organisation to create all your opportunities.
• You have only worked with fully established territories, playbooks and pricing.
• You prefer relationship management to active new-business development.
• You are uncomfortable working closely with product and engineering teams.
