Our work at NVIDIA is dedicated towards a computing model passionate about visual and AI computing. For two decades, NVIDIA has pioneered visual computing, the art and science of computer graphics, with our invention of the GPU. The GPU has also shown to be astonishingly effective at solving some of the most sophisticated problems in computer science. Today, NVIDIA’s GPU simulates human intelligence, running deep learning algorithms and acting as the brain of computers, robots and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Artificial intelligence is no longer science fiction. And in the next few years, it will transform every industry.
We are now looking for an Operations Research Scientist to join our information technology operations planning team. As a part of this team you will responsible for developing advanced analytics and optimization models for strategic and tactical decision-making associated with supply-chain planning, as well as data analysis support.
What you’ll be doing:
Design and deliver robust implementable solutions for complex supply chain planning requirements using modeling approaches
Lead small projects to implement new and improve existing functionalities including articulating requirements and translating them into effective solutions.
Invent prototypes or proof of concepts as part of some research on optimization-based or simulation-based systems.
Apply optimization, simulation, statistical and data analytic techniques to develop strategic decision management tools. You will research and craft network/business models.
Perform quantitative analysis. u will build business and product scenarios to help the business unit improve our profitability and market share.
What we need to see:
Master's or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or related disciplines or equivalent experience
12+ years of professional working experience, including 3+ plus years of experience with deterministic optimization methodology, including mixed integer programming, network flows, dynamic programming and approximation heuristics.
Strong hands-on experience with optimization solvers like Matlab, CPLEX, Gurobi, ExpressMP, SAS (OptModel) for solving Supply Chain problems
Advanced Excel skills as well as knowledge of VBA and SQL
Consistent track record of using analysis to deliver business results.
Self-starter who can take charge of complex tasks with minimal direction.
Ability to work independently and multi-functionally with other staff members.
Statistical analysis, machine learning and data-modeling in a database environment a plus
