​​Within Azure Data, the Microsoft Fabric platform team builds and maintains the operating system and provides customers a unified data stack to run an entire data estate. The platform provides a unified experience, unified governance, enables a unified business model and a unified architecture. ​ 

​​The Core Fabric Platform team is responsible for all Compute infrastructure of Microsoft Fabric. This engineer will be working closely with feature teams within the Fabric Core Platform team to tech lead and develop projects related to high scale and resiliency. This person may act as an architect for some areas of the product as well.   
Experience with high scale high throughput service is required. Experience with Azure technologies is a plus. Experience with AI is a plus. Experience with Azure SQL is a plus. Experience with Document db type stores is a plus.

Responsibilities

Tech lead and develop features related to scale and resiliency for Fabric Platform.   
 
Create high level design and architecture for some of the features within Fabric Platform.   
 
Analyze data and come up with solutions related to incidents and scale/reliability. ​

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications 

​​Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.​ 

Job Requirements: Other & Additional  

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: 

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. 

Preferred/Additional Qualifications
