  • Manage the design and delivery of solutions spanning hardware, firmware, operating-system, service, and application layers.
  • Establish a high engineering bar for quality, security, reliability, performance, maintainability, and operational excellence, while ensuring predictable execution.
  • Use data and customer insights to make portfolio tradeoffs, resolve ambiguity, manage risk, and hold the team accountable for measurable outcomes.
  • Recruit, coach, and retain a diverse team of engineers while building trusted partnerships with Windows teams, OEMs, silicon vendors, and hardware partners across the ecosystem.

    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of people-management experience leading software engineers, including coaching, performance management, and career development.
  • Experience leading the design, development, and optimization of complex system software or platform capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success building teams and delivering highly reliable products or services at scale.
  • Deep technical judgment in software architecture, systems design, debugging, and engineering tradeoffs.
  • Ability to set strategy, navigate ambiguity, prioritize investments using data, and influence decisions across organizational boundaries.
  • Experience leading teams responsible for operating-system architecture, system-level development, or platform engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of Windows internals, performance, reliability, or power optimization.
  • Experience driving initiatives across hardware, firmware, operating-system, service, and application boundaries.
  • Experience using large-scale telemetry, experimentation, statistical analysis, or Azure data platforms to guide product and engineering decisions.
