Job Description

Overview

If you’re passionate about technology, energized by creative problem-solving, and excited to shape what’s next, we want to hear from you. We’re looking for a Product Designer II to join the Windows and Devices Design Studio. We’re looking for a multidisciplinary designer with depth in visual and experience design, talent for compelling product storytelling, and a builder’s mindset. The right candidate works independently and is a passionate collaborator with other design teams, engineering teams and marketing groups, turning ambitious concepts into meaningful customer experiences.

The Windows Design team is a creative community of designers and researchers imagining the future of computing and evolving Windows for the age of AI. Our diverse team collaborates to move quickly, turning ambitious ideas into seamless and delightful experiences for more than a billion customers.  This role sits at the intersection of onboarding, personalization, and customer engagement experiences in Windows. You'll help imagine how people discover, learn, and personalize their devices by creating experiences that make Windows feel more useful, expressive, and unique. You'll explore opportunities across both software and hardware to bring delight and individuality to the Windows ecosystem.

In this role, you’ll shape the next generation of Windows experiences—simplifying complexity and bringing emerging technologies together into cohesive, human-centered products. You’ll collaborate across design, engineering, research, and product management to explore new interaction models and translate complex technological possibilities into intuitive, accessible, and thoughtfully crafted solutions. You’ll take ideas from early experimentation and prototyping through scalable implementation across Windows platform surfaces and applications.  You'll be surrounded by experienced designers who are passionate about mentorship and creating opportunities for designers to expand their craft, take ownership, and grow their impact. We’re building a culture rooted in learning, experimentation, and meaningful customer impact. We are looking for a designer who brings a making and building mindset, using frontier AI tools and emerging methodologies to explore possibilities, test ideas, and improve design outcomes. The right candidate is curious, adaptable, and eager to pursue innovative approaches that can have a real impact.
