Senior GenAI Cloud Engineer

Solutions & Governance is a functional area within GenAI Innovation & Foundation at Danske Bank. We develop and operate a set of bespoke agentic solutions, some of which are relied upon daily by executive leadership. These are not proofs of concept. They run in production, they touch real workflows and the expectations on reliability, security and sound judgement are correspondingly high.

We also keep a close eye on where the field is heading, so we can make sound calls on what to build and what to adopt before the window closes.

We are looking for a Senior GenAI Cloud Engineer who wants to build production-grade solutions on a modern AWS-native stack, in a team that is still being built.

What you will be doing

• Develop, deploy and maintain high-visibility production agents relied upon by executive leadership, taking end-to-end responsibility for reliability, security and behaviour

• Build bespoke agentic solutions on an AWS-native stack: Strands Agents orchestration running on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime, with Claude models served via Amazon Bedrock

• Design and implement custom MCP servers and integrations to enterprise source systems

• Write clean, efficient and maintainable code, following the bank’s engineering and security best practices

• Participate in design and code reviews to maintain a high level of code quality

• Identify and resolve issues across development, testing and production environments

About you

• 4–5 years of industry experience in software engineering

• Strong proficiency in Python (and ideally a second language such as Node.js) and related frameworks

• Familiarity with generative AI technologies: GenAI model APIs, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval

• Hands-on experience building and operating services on a major cloud platform, ideally AWS

• Comfort owning code end to end, from design through production operation

• Advanced English skills

• Experience with Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore or comparable managed agent infrastructure for building agentic AI solutions

• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies

• Knowledge of enterprise security best practices and working in a regulated environment

What we offer you
Monthly salary range will be from 4960 EUR to 7440 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
