Job Description

As Amazon Web Services (AWS) rapidly expands its global infrastructure footprint, the need for scalable, strategic procurement has never been greater. We are looking for a senior procurement leader to join our Data Center Procurement team within the AWS Infrastructure Services Supply Chain organization. In this role, you will lead a team of procurement managers across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific regions, owning the goods and services portfolio that keeps data center operations running — including maintenance, repair and operations services, security services and equipment, and environmental health and safety services.

You will build and refine category strategies that scale alongside AWS's growth, ensuring internal customers across the globe have a consistently positive procurement experience. You will also develop strong partnerships with suppliers to drive long-term, mutually beneficial outcomes while holding your team accountable for delivering measurable results that directly impact Amazon's bottom line.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead a global team of procurement managers to develop and execute regional and global category strategies that scale procurement support in step with AWS's expanding infrastructure.
- Build and strengthen supplier qualification programs, mitigate supply-base risk, and drive executive-level engagement with key strategic suppliers.
- Partner with internal automation teams to optimize and automate procurement processes, improving efficiency and scalability across multiple tools and systems.
- Establish regular business review cadences across regions and with internal customer leadership to align procurement priorities with operational needs.
- Define and track performance metrics to evaluate team effectiveness, inform business decisions, and drive continuous process improvement across procurement operations.

A day in the life
Your morning may start with a strategy review alongside your regional procurement leads, aligning on category priorities for an upcoming data center launch. You then shift to a supplier executive meeting to negotiate terms on a critical services contract. After lunch, you connect with internal automation teams to review progress on a process optimization initiative before checking performance dashboards with your team. You close out by coaching one of your managers on a complex stakeholder engagement, helping them navigate competing priorities across regions.
