Job Description

Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) is looking for a dynamic and deeply technical product leader to define and build the future of AI/ML computing infrastructure. Customers around the world — from frontier AI labs training the largest foundation models to enterprises deploying inference at scale — rely on Amazon EC2 accelerated instances to deliver breakthrough performance for their most demanding machine learning workloads.

Within EC2, you will lead product management for our **accelerated computing portfolio**, including GPU-based instances and AWS Trainium-powered instances. You will work alongside world-class silicon, systems, and software engineers to bring next-generation AI/ML compute to market at unprecedented scale.

We are seeking a **Senior Product Manager - Technical** who will own and drive the end-to-end product strategy for EC2 AI/ML instance types. You will be responsible for **full lifecycle product management** of accelerated compute solutions purpose-built for:

- Large-scale model training

- High-performance inference

- Generative AI workloads

This is a unique opportunity to innovate across the full AI/ML compute stack — from customer-facing instance capabilities and pricing models down to the core infrastructure including **AWS custom AI chips (Trainium), NVIDIA GPU integrations, and the Nitro System**.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead the definition and execution of the product strategy for EC2 accelerated computing instances, including GPU and Trainium-based solutions for AI/ML workloads.

- Define and gather the customer inputs to make high-quality product and roadmap decisions.

- Work with leaders across AWS, Amazon, and our partners to deliver innovation all while working backwards from customer needs.

- Define product requirements, priorities, methods for measurement and track their execution and success.

- Communicate with senior management on project status, strategy, risks, and issues.

- Work closely with multiple engineering teams and designers to deliver results to customer.

About the team
The EC2 Accelerated Computing product team has product leaders that own a portfolio of 5+ products and services. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we foster an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. We care about your career growth and strive to assign initiatives and product areas based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded product manager and enable them to take on more ambiguous ideas in the future.

Basic qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, finance, or economics
- Experience translating customer needs into innovative and detailed product requirements for customer-facing online and mobile products/services
- Experience working with customers, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
- Experience working as a Technical Product Manager

Preferred qualifications

- Knowledge of deep learning, machine learning and statistics
- MBA
- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)
