Senior Product Manager - Technical, Amazon Leo

Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Product Manager, Technical to join Leo's Global Business Customer Operations (GBCO) team. Our ideal teammate brings natural curiosity, sharp analytical skills, and excitement to build products and processes for our commercial business. You will craft the vision and lead implementation of sales lifecycle management tools and business tooling for Leo's commercial business operations. You will work with sales, marketing, deal desk, legal, and finance teams to translate business needs into requirements, and partner closely with engineering to design and deliver solutions across both first-party and third-party platforms (e.g., CRM/Salesforce).

As a Senior Product Manager, Technical, you will identify and discover customer problems, define business strategy and product vision, build the product roadmap, write detailed requirements, evangelize the product across the organization, manage executive stakeholders, and launch products to target users. You will partner with engineers on system-design tradeoffs, data models, and cross-platform integration, and constantly balance large, forward-looking initiatives against smaller incremental value adds.

Key job responsibilities
Discover and define customer problems, and translate them into a clear business strategy and product vision through PR-FAQs and vision documents
Build and prioritize the product roadmap, making tradeoffs against engineering capacity and business value
Author business requirements documents that give engineering unambiguous direction
Evangelize the product across the organization and drive alignment
Manage executive stakeholders, including Directors and VPs
Make complex tradeoff decisions — balancing large, forward-looking initiatives against incremental value, and first-party vs. third-party solutions
Partner with engineering teams on system-design decisions and feature delivery
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

A day in the life
No two days look the same. You might start by diving into a customer problem with stakeholders, then translate what you heard into a crisp problem statement and a point of view. Mid-morning, you're whiteboarding a solution with engineering, weighing a first-party build against a third-party tool. After lunch, you walk the team through your roadmap and the sequencing rationale, then refine a PR-FAQ based on their input. You close the day writing requirements clear enough for engineers to run with. Throughout, you're connecting today's incremental wins to the longer-term vision.

Basic qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 6+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience

Preferred qualifications

- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools in academic or professional settings
- Experience with Salesforce
- Experience in B2B-services , satellite or Telco industry

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
