The opportunity:

Flexport is a technology-driven freight forwarding company on a mission to make global trade easy for everyone. By combining logistics expertise with cutting-edge software, we’ve built a unique value proposition that has fueled exponential growth over the past 10 years. Now, we are expanding our presence in Australia.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and well-connected sales executives to take the driver’s seat in building and scaling Flexport Australia, growing the business aggressively, and leaving your mark in the market. You will join a small, motivated team that is equally excited to grow Flexport’s presence in Australia and solve customer challenges with tech-enabled freight forwarding solutions.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Drive the growth of Flexport Australia together with your colleagues
  • Identify and pursue high-potential clients
  • Consult with new clients to understand their supply chain needs and pain points
  • Create value-driven solutions and showcase Flexport’s capabilities through virtual and in-person meetings
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals
  • Own and over-achieve personal sales targets, approaching them strategically and consistently delivering results
  • Lead customer onboarding by coordinating with internal resources and teams
  • Be part of a high-growth, dynamic team with strong focus on culture, performance, and career development
  • You will personally represent Flexport’s value proposition by recommending supply chain solutions for new clients, and identifying growth opportunities for overseas demand teams
  • Being a small team, you will deep-dive and fill gaps that may be outside your day-to-day remit. You will be expected to teach as much as you’ll learn
  • Create feedback loops with key stakeholders to align operations with evolving client needs.

 

What you’ll need:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a full cycle (prospecting to closing), quota-carrying sales role
  • Experience within business development in the freight forwarding or logistics domain 
  • Enthusiasm for cold-calling prospects, leading discovery calls to uncover their needs, and managing accounts to create an outstanding experience for clients
  • A fast learning ability, a strong work ethic, and a burning desire to grow into a top 5% sales executive in the country
  • Courage to challenge the status quo when logic and reason require it. See something broken? Fix it!

  • Strategic vision and ground floor execution
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
