Senior Software Engineer

We are the Azure IoT Hub team, a core part of the Azure Digital Operations organization. We design, build, and operate mission-critical IoT services that differentiate Azure in the market.

Our platform delivers highly reliable, secure, and massively scalable connectivity, messaging, and device management capabilities to meet customers’ most demanding scale and availability requirements. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Azure IoT Hub team to help build the next generation of Azure’s IoT cloud platform. You will play a key role in developing core IoT Hub services and working across platform teams to deliver highly reliable, scalable, and high-throughput systems. This role offers the chance to solve deep distributed systems challenges in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience. 

• 3+ years of experience in developing, shipping, and supporting production grade distributed cloud services. 
• 2+ years of experience building and supporting distributed cloud services with production grade.  
• 5+ years of experience in developing, shipping, and supporting production grade distributed cloud services. 
• 2+ years of experience building and supporting distributed cloud services with production grade.  
• Understanding of Azure cloud and cloud native services.  
• Experience building Distributed Systems with reliable guarantees. 
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.  

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
