Azure Key Vault is a foundational security service in the Microsoft cloud, responsible for centralized management of cryptographic keys, secrets, and certificates used by Microsoft products and Azure customers. The service enables customers to encrypt data at rest, securely store and manage credentials, and provision and automatically rotate TLS certificates across their cloud workloads. Operating at global cloud scale with 99.99% availability, Azure Key Vault is part of the Identity division within Microsoft Security, and plays a critical role in maintaining customer trust in Microsoft’s cloud platform. The team builds and operates highly reliable, secure, and diagnosable distributed systems that protect some of the most sensitive data hosted in Azure. Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
