Join the Microsoft Foundry engineering team building core experiences and platform capabilities that enable developers and enterprises to build, customize, deploy, and operate AI applications and agents.The team owns end-to-end engineering across customer-facing experiences, backend services, platform infrastructure, and AI enablement workflows. Our work includes agent-building experiences, model onboarding and catalog experiences, fine-tuning and training workflows, compute scenarios, and the services that allow customers to build and operate AI solutions at scale.

Engineers work across the full software lifecycle: architecture, technical design, implementation, testing, reliability, operational excellence, and long-term platform evolution. Responsibilities

Responsibilities  

  • Lead technical design and solutioning for complex initiatives across Microsoft Foundry experiences and platform capabilities.
  • Drive architecture, engineering principles, scalability, reliability, security, and long-term platform health.
  • Provide technical leadership across full-stack systems, including customer experiences, backend services, platform components, and infrastructure dependencies.
  • Influence engineering direction across multiple projects and partner teams.
  • Guide design reviews, technical tradeoffs, and implementation strategies.
  • Shape responsible adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and modern engineering standards.
  • Mentor senior engineers and act as a trusted technical leader across the organization.


Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 10+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading architecture and technical design for large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience with full-stack engineering, platform development, or large production services.
  • Practical experience with AI/ML technologies, generative AI, agents, or related solutions.
  • Experience driving technical alignment across multiple stakeholders and teams.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience building AI platforms, developer platforms, or enterprise-scale cloud services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Foundry, Azure services, model lifecycle management, agent frameworks, or machine learning systems.
  • Experience improving engineering systems, standards, and architectural practices across organizations.
  • Experience mentoring senior engineers and leading complex cross-team initiatives.
