Senior Staff Research Scientist, Recommendation Systems, DeepMind

• Use software engineering skills to complement the research background.
• Build recommender/search systems or successfully deploy novel deep learning algorithms at industrial scale.
• Be skilled in LLM post-training algorithms and infra, with proficiency in JAX.
• Drive cross-functional projects and collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries with strong communication skills. 

Minimum qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning or natural language processing.

Preferred qualifications:

• Track record of publications in AI/ML conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV).

• PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning or natural language processing.
