We are looking for a UX Researcher to shape end-to-end experiences across Altium 365.

You'll be the person who keeps our product decisions connected to real users. You'll run the conversations, test the ideas before we build them, and make sure everything we learn stays findable instead of getting lost in old Slack threads and someone's notebook. You'll work closely with designers, PMs, and engineers throughout the whole cycle, from early problem framing to post-launch validation.

This is a hands-on role with a lot of autonomy. You'll own the research practice rather than execute someone else's plan.

What you'll do

Talk to users, regularly

• Own the participant pipeline: recruiting, screening, scheduling, incentives, consent
• Run interviews, contextual inquiries, diary studies, and surveys
• Build a steady cadence of user contact so the team is never more than a couple of weeks from fresh input

Validate ideas and prototypes

• Partner with designers and PMs to turn open questions into research questions
• Run usability tests and concept tests on wireframes, prototypes, and live features
• Choose the right method for the decision at hand, including quick, scrappy studies when speed matters more than rigor
• Deliver findings that clearly state what to change and what the trade-offs are

Build and maintain the insights repository

• Set up and curate a searchable database of findings, tagged by product area, user segment, and theme
• Connect new findings to old ones so patterns surface over time
• Make it genuinely usable for the rest of the team, not just an archive
• Track which insights led to which decisions, and revisit assumptions that haven't held up

Raise the team's research literacy

• Coach designers and PMs to run their own lightweight studies well
• Share findings in formats people actually read and watch: short readouts, highlight reels, workshops
• Push back when a decision is being made on opinion where evidence is available or cheap to get

What we're looking for

• 3+ years in UX/product research, or a closely adjacent role with substantial hands-on research work
• Solid command of qualitative methods, plus enough quantitative literacy to design a survey and interpret product analytics
• Experience testing prototypes at different fidelities and knowing what each stage can and can't tell you
• Clear communication: you can make findings land with a skeptical stakeholder in five minutes
• Comfort working in ambiguity and scoping research to fit real timelines
• Familiarity with research ops tooling (Dovetail, Condens, Maze, UserTesting, or similar)
• English at a professional level

Nice to have

• Experience setting up an insights repository from scratch
• Background in our domain: Engineering, PCB design or other complex domain
• Basic familiarity with Figma and design workflows
