As of 23 September, 46 roles are open in Dubai at 19 employers. 3 new roles have been posted since 21 September. The most common roles are AI engineers; product designers; and finance, legal and operations. Of the roles that say how they work, 9% are remote or hybrid.
AI engineers account for roughly a quarter of all roles listed on the board, making them the single largest group, followed closely by product designers at about a fifth. Finance, legal and operations roles form the next largest share. Among the seniority levels stated, lead and senior positions together account for well over half the listings, while junior and mid-level roles represent a much smaller share, and manager and director titles are a small minority. Most openings on the board are older than a month, suggesting a relatively steady pipeline rather than a sudden surge; a smaller but meaningful portion arrived within the past month, and a modest slice appeared in the last week or two. There is not yet enough weekly history to describe a direction over recent weeks.

Dubai Internet City, established in 1999 and part of TECOM Group, hosts multinationals and start-ups including Google and Gartner at its Innovation Hub. The Dubai AI Campus at DIFC's Innovation Hub, inaugurated in May 2024, counts Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Oracle, HP and Nvidia among its partners. A government-run Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, launched in 2023 at AREA 2071, supports AI adoption across public and academic sectors. The annual Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, introduced in 2024, introduced chief AI officer roles across government entities and a dedicated commercial licence for AI.
Python and large language models appear in roughly half of all role descriptions sampled, making them the most commonly mentioned capabilities. Evaluation methodologies and agent-based systems appear in a significant share of descriptions, suggesting practical experience with how AI systems are tested and deployed. APIs and CI/CD practices are cited in about a third or more, pointing to an expectation of solid software engineering fundamentals. Prompt engineering, A/B testing and cloud infrastructure — particularly AWS — round out a picture of applied, production-focused AI work.

Among roles on the board that state a work mode, on-site attendance is by far the dominant expectation, accounting for nearly all of them. A small minority of roles offer a hybrid arrangement. Remote work does not appear among the listed options. Candidates considering roles in Dubai should plan for regular in-person presence at an employer's office.
