The role

Are you ready to take your AI career to the next level? At Legora, we’re on a mission to revolutionize the legal industry with cutting-edge AI and LLM tech. We’re seeking software engineers to join our fast-moving team, where you’ll work on technically difficult projects with the support of an amazing team, and help redefine how legal professionals work.

*This is a Stockholm-based, 5-day in-office role, we believe building together in person drives better outcomes.

What you will be doing:

• Architect and implement AI and LLM features end-to-end for our web platform

• Build systems that let lawyers work with complex documents through grounded, reliable AI — including document upload, processing, retrieval, citations, and long-context reasoning

• Design and evaluate agentic workflows, retrieval strategies, and LLM-powered product experiences that can handle real legal work at scale

• Work with technologies such as React, Node.js, AWS, Azure and Kubernetes

• Take ownership of our codebase, balancing high-quality code, security and speed of development

• Own and drive forward PoCs and solve broad technical challenges

Who you are

• A passionate software engineer with a few years of experience implementing and evaluating AI and LLM applications

• A strong coder who can move quickly in unfamiliar codebases while keeping quality high

• Proficient in languages like TypeScript and Node.js, with an emphasis on clean, efficient, and maintainable code

• You have strong product and technical judgment around applied AI — from retrieval, embeddings, citations, evals and hallucination risks to when simpler approaches are better

• You’re autonomous and take pride in the systems you architect

• You’re a low ego, true team player

• You’re a problem solver who’s not afraid to come up with creative solutions and think holistically about applied AI
