About the Role:

Intake is the highest-leverage moment in a plaintiff's firm's relationship with a client — cases get signed or lost here, often before anyone at the firm has opened a file. It's also one of the most technically demanding surfaces we build: every firm's AI voice agent, call scoring, transfer rules, and lead routing gets hand-tuned to that firm's practice areas and intake process, and as more firms come through the door, that build work only becomes more central to how fast and how well they succeed on Eve.

We're hiring a Legal AI Architect to own intake as its own discipline: the technical build, the integration work, and the relationship with every firm going through it, end to end. You'll partner with the CSM who owns the overall onboarding relationship and with integrations engineering on the phone system and CRM side — but the intake build itself, and the firm's experience of it, is yours to run.

Location and travel: Remote-based, with regular travel to client sites for on-site engagements. 50%+ required

What You'll Do:

Own voice agent customization end to end for every firm in intake onboarding — the call flow (personality, firm knowledge base, objection handling, case-type-specific intake questions), transfer rules, staff directories, and call/lead scoring criteria, all tuned to how that firm actually runs intake.
Set up the full intake stack alongside integrations engineering: phone system integrations (RingCentral and others), CRM/DMS handoff (Clio Grow, Lead Docket, Smart Advocate), and e-signature setup so a retainer can go out and get signed while the client is still on the phone.
Set the standard for what "fully onboarded" looks like on intake — the checkpoints, the sequencing, the judgment calls — so every firm you touch lands in a good spot and stays there.
Turn what you learn into training and documentation the rest of the team builds on, raising what every CSM and LAA can handle on their own over time.
Carry a book of intake-focused accounts, including the intake-only and "land and expand" deals that are hard to place well because of how specialized this setup is. (Open question: does this book stay at standard scope, or flex down-market given how much more standardized intake-only setups are versus a full Eve implementation?)

What We're Looking For:

You have a J.D., or you've held a legal operations role at a plaintiffs' firm of meaningful size.
You understand intake — call flows, lead qualification, objection handling, and what actually makes a case viable — from real experience with it, whatever form that took.
You can turn that operational knowledge into a technical build — comfortable configuring and iterating on AI-driven workflows, not just describing how intake should work.
You document and systematize as you go, so what you know becomes the team's playbook, not just your own.
You work well across functions — with CSMs who own the client relationship, with integrations engineering, and directly with firms.

Preferred Qualifications:

Direct experience with legal intake or voice AI platforms (RingCentral, Clio Grow, Lead Docket, Smart Advocate, or similar).
Consulting experience layered on top of legal or intake operations background.
Experience training non-technical teams on a new workflow or tool.

For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Eve and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
