Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for leading machinery design, upgrades, integration, and implementation initiatives. This role encompasses designing and validating mechanical systems for production processes, implementing machinery automation solutions, and managing mechanical tooling for manufacturing operations. The engineer will drive plant-level mechanical projects such as Cobots integration, machine and process automation, and continuous machinery improvements.

Machinery Design and Integration

• Leads machinery design projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with production requirements and DMD directions

  • Designs, upgrades, and integrates machinery systems to optimize production efficiency and performance
  • Develops and implements machinery automation solutions and process improvements
  • Defines and updates procedures for reviewing and releasing tooling and fixtures in support of machinery operations
  • Administrates the mechanical drawing database and provides technical support to users
  • Maintains and updates mechanical drawings, ensuring accuracy and proper storage
  • Provides comprehensive technical support for machinery-related projects and systems
  • Supports machinery implementation at the plant level, including after-hours assistance when required

     

 

  • Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in machinery design, mechanical systems design, or equipment engineering
  • Advanced proficiency in mechanical design software (Solidworks or equivalent CAD platforms) with demonstrated expertise in complex machinery design projects
  • Strong command of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles applied to machinery systems
  • Proven expertise in machinery design methodologies, including mechanical system integration, automation design, and process optimization
  • In-depth knowledge of machining materials, material treatments, and their specifications for machinery applications
  • Experience with machinery automation solutions, process improvements, and mechanical tooling design for manufacturing operations
  • Proficiency in mechanical drawing standards, documentation practices, and CAD database management
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with customer-oriented mindset and proactive approach
  • High sense of responsibility and urgency; ability to support plant-level implementation and provide after-hours technical assistance when required
  • Willingness to travel for machinery implementation and project support
