We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Digital Assets Product Owner to join our Global Asset Servicing-Funds team. This role is located in New York City or Boston, MA.

Digital Assets within Global Asset Servicing

Digital Assets are shaping the future of Global Asset servicing and funds industry. At BNY we are dedicated to leading this wave of innovation – by building cutting-edge digital assets products to support tokenized funds; digital asset custody; blockchain-based fund accounting, digital cash (such as stablecoins and tokenized deposits) smart contract-based transfer agent functionality, and digitally-enabled distribution.

Digital Assets Product Owner, Funds & Global Asset Servicing

We are searching for an experienced product owner for our Global Asset Servicing business – who has a keen interest in designing, building and delivering digital asset and tokenization capabilities for fund managers looking to support retail and institutional investors achieve their investment objectives via digital assets.

Digital Assets – Areas of focus

Digital asset wallets and custody, digital cash (stablecoins, tokenized deposits), funds such as tokenized money market funds, tokenized securities (i.e. tokenized bonds and equities), blockchain-based fund accounting, and more.

Responsibilities and Objectives

• Partner with clients - design product features for tokenized funds
• Partner with Engineering and Operations - build and deliver
• Lead multi-discipline agile teams - define epics, features, user stories
• Track delivery, dependencies and risks across teams, platforms
• Balance delivery, client commitments, production support, technical debt, resiliency 
• Lead planning, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations and retrospectives

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Digital Assets experience within one of the following areas: Digital cash i.e. stablecoins, tokenized deposits, CBDCs (or) tokenized securities (or) tokenized collateral (or) Crypto-assets (or) Digital Assets Custody / wallets is required
• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
• 7 years of overall experience required.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Analyst, or Business Analyst
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
• Client-facing experience; strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Financial-services experience, ideally within asset servicing (Funds)

Who you will be working with, a global team

You will be joining a truly global team – working with clients in multiple jurisdictions to delivery a wide range of solutions and capabilities. Key internal stakeholders will be Client Relationship Managers, Digital Assets SMEs, Funds and Global Asset Servicing SMEs, Product Managers and Owners, Engineers, Project and Program Managers, Risk and Compliance Leaders, Legal teams, Operations teams, and Agile-specific SMEs.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $102,000 and $228,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. 
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
