We are a team building applications and services that have the potential to transform the learning experience for millions of students and educators around the world. Our challenge is to help shape the future of education. If you are excited by a diverse team and the Microsoft Education (EDU) mission, the Microsoft EDU team offers the opportunity to build meaningful experiences that empower students and teachers to achieve more.
As a Software Engineer II, you will bring solid UI engineering skills and user experience instincts, while developing a broader full-stack, AI, and product engineering mindset. You will build intuitive, accessible, reliable experiences and work closely with UX designers, Product Managers, and engineering partners to turn customer needs into products people love to use.
You will contribute across the engineering lifecycle, from understanding customer problems and shaping features through implementation, testing, experimentation, shipping, telemetry, and production. While UI/UX craftsmanship remains an important strength, you will also have opportunities to work across client architecture, shared components, services, APIs, and AI-enabled experiences.
We are looking for curious, passionate engineers who enjoy building products, not just implementing requirements. You will explore emerging technologies, use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly, bring ideas, ask questions, learn quickly, and help make both the product and the team better.
