Job Description

Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

The Product Manager - Technical (PM-T) will be at the forefront of defining Product vision, strategy, requirements and building systems to related to support both consumer and enterprise customers, catalog management, order management, broadband service provisioning and service life cycle management. This will include integrations into telecom customer systems, sales channel partners and internal upstream and downstream systems across Leo eCommerce.

This PM-T will be the single threaded owner (STO) for Leo's Subscription Life Cycle Management, APIs and business systems for management of Customer Service Contracts. They will develop a common vision and scope, establish timelines, and drive system readiness and solutions are ready for launching Leo services. The role will engage with both consumers and enterprise customers and will work in partnership with Leo Engineering, and Amazon teams like Accounting, Tax, Legal, Finance to execute the plan.


Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate plays the role of a business liaison, product and technology leader, and own the delivery of systems across the end to end customer journey.
Work closely with senior business and software engineering leaders and SMEs to understand requirements, conceptualize solutions, facilitate development, and deploy broadband customer onboarding and service activation capabilities
Own tangible goals and deliverables to enable system development and readiness to scale globally and deliver the best customer experiences through service delivery.
Possess written and verbal communication skills and facilitate collaboration across multiple teams.
Be structured and flexible at the same time to learn as the business evolves.
Provide visibility and communicate extremely well, with responsibility to provide updates to VPs, author operation plans, business reviews documents, and communicate to the broader Leo and Amazon team.
Be a seasoned product leader with a demonstrated history of leading product strategy, technology solutions, data analytics, and customer experience.
Thrive on ambiguity and have a track record of delivering large-scale technology products and/or led large operational or technical teams.
Lead large, global, and complex technology initiatives in a large business unit, working cross-functionally with a number of business and technical teams.
The ability to think and move quickly and is inspired to build mechanisms to simplify and continuously innovate.
Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.



Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred qualifications

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
