We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director-level POD Product Technical Manager. This role is located in New York City, Pittsburgh, Boston or Lake Mary.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:  

BNY is seeking a Director-level POD Product Technical Manager to lead a Data Client Facing POD within the Integrated Middle Office organization. This role is responsible for helping define the pod’s product and technical direction, aligning delivery to strategic priorities and OKRs, and driving end-to-end execution across a cross-functional pod.

The successful candidate will work across product, engineering, data, operations, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver client-facing data capabilities that support Core Middle Office, Front Office Services, and ETF Services. This role requires a blend of product thinking, technical depth, stakeholder management, and delivery leadership in a pod-based operating model.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product and technical vision for the Data Client Facing POD.
• Own and prioritize the pod backlog in alignment with business priorities, platform strategy, and client needs.
• Translate business, client, operational, and data requirements into clear user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of pod outcomes across product, data, and technology workstreams.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable client-facing data capabilities.
• Manage cross-pod and cross-team dependencies, delivery risks, and sequencing of work.
• Support PI Planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure the backlog remains sufficiently prepared ahead of delivery cycles.
• Monitor the control, risk, and regulatory environment and incorporate required changes into planning and execution.
• Use metrics, delivery insights, and stakeholder feedback to improve product quality, transparency, and predictability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across delivery practices, agile ways of working, and team effectiveness.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:  

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
• 10+ years of professional experience is required
• Significant experience in product management, technical product management, delivery leadership, or similar roles within financial services.
• Experience working with client-facing data products, platform capabilities, or operational data services.
• Strong understanding of product delivery in agile, pod-based, or cross-functional team structures.
• Ability to partner effectively across business, operations, product, engineering, architecture, and control functions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex dependencies, prioritize work, and drive execution against strategic objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in middle office, front office support services, ETF servicing, or related securities servicing functions.
• Familiarity with data platforms, client reporting, data integration, or data product delivery.
• Experience with OKRs, PI Planning, and agile tooling such as JIRA.
• Understanding of operational risk, regulatory requirements, and control frameworks in financial services.
