Financial Analyst Intern (Summer 2027)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst Intern to join our finance team in Plymouth, United States. In this role, you will support our financial analysis initiatives by assisting with data compilation, financial modeling, and reporting. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop your analytical skills while contributing to meaningful financial projects within our organization.

• Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing comprehensive financial reports for management review
• Support the development and maintenance of financial models for forecasting and scenario analysis
• Compile and organize financial information from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Perform variance analysis by comparing actual financial results against budgets and forecasts
• Research financial trends, market data, and industry benchmarks to support analytical projects
• Prepare presentations and visualizations to communicate financial findings to stakeholders
• Collaborate with team members across the finance department to gather data and insights
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the efficiency of financial operations
• Maintain organized documentation and records of all financial analysis work performed
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis projects as assigned by senior team members

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. 
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
• Solid organizational and time management skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting techniques
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• Knowledge of SQL or database query languages
• Experience with accounting software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Understanding of financial analysis methodologies and best practices

Experience:

• Coursework or practical projects in finance, accounting, business, or related field
• Prior experience with financial data analysis or business analytics
• Internship or project experience working with financial datasets
