Are you excited by the challenge of helping Microsoft launch complex commercial offerings quickly, clearly, and responsibly? As a Senior Finance Launch Manager in Planning and Launch Finance Compliance, you will coordinate cross-functional execution that turns ambiguous business ideas into structured launch plans, clear ownership, and informed readiness decisions.
You will join the New Commerce Finance Compliance Engagement Team within Microsoft Planning and Launch, partnering across Business Planning, Business Development, Finance subject matter experts, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Readiness. In this role, you will clarify launch intent and scope, coordinate required teams, monitor compliance execution, identify and escalate risks, and help drive launches through go/no-go, deployment, and hypercare.
This is a high-visibility opportunity for a finance compliance professional who thrives in ambiguity, creates clarity across functions, influences without authority, and applies disciplined governance while supporting strategic, customized, and fast-moving launch priorities.
Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. We foster a culture of growth, innovation, collaboration, respect, integrity, and accountability where everyone can thrive.
Drive end-to-end launch execution. Coordinate day-to-day launch management across Envision, Plan, Execute, Deploy, and Close. Establish clear objectives, intended customer outcomes, success criteria, critical-path dependencies, owners, and go/no-go expectations.
Clarify intent, scope, scenarios, and deliverables. Partner with Business Planning, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Readiness teams to define what is launching, what is in and out of scope, what scenarios must be supported, and what must be delivered before pilot, general availability, or phased release.
Engage required teams and formalize governance. Coordinate engineering, operations, finance, customer readiness, support, and business owners. Formalize stakeholder governance, establish engagement rhythms, and surface ownership or coverage gaps.
Translate deal mechanics into finance requirements. Partner with finance subject matter experts to develop finance requirements, scenario coverage, controls, and risk-based testing plans that connect commercial intent to expected financial outcomes.
Monitor portfolio health and launch decision quality. Maintain status, risks, blockers, decisions, sign-offs, monitoring plans, and dashboard metrics across assigned launches. Use results to reinforce team accountability, coordinate remediation, and escalate issues to management and corporate stakeholders as needed.
Identify risks and ensure effective controls. Identify compliance risks and emerging launch risks, assess business and company reputation impacts, and recommend practical mitigation proposals. Review business and functional team actions to ensure controls operate as intended.
