Software Engineer III, Infrastructure, CNS2 Replication

• Design, develop, and test robust, scalable, and high-performance software for our distributed storage system, primarily using C++.
• Contribute to the technical design and implementation of new features and significant system improvements.
  
• Analyze and improve the efficiency, reliability, and performance of the storage system.
  
• Debug and resolve complex issues in large-scale distributed environments, including those in production, often in collaboration with SRE teams.
  
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code, and participate actively in code reviews.
  

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
• 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  
• Experience programming using C++.
• Experience in building, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
  
• Experience with performance analysis, tuning, and optimization of complex systems.
  
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts (e.g., consistency, fault tolerance, replication, partitioning).
  
• Familiarity with the internals of storage systems, file systems, or databases.
