Sr. Content Designer

About the Role : 

We're looking for a Sr. Content Designer to shape how people experience our product through words — across screens, flows, and increasingly, conversations with AI. You'll partner closely with Product, Design, Research, and our AI/ML teams to craft content that's clear, useful, and on-brand, whether it's a button label, an onboarding flow, or a multi-turn exchange with an AI assistant. 

This role is for someone who thinks in systems, writes with precision, and is genuinely energized by the shift toward conversational and AI-generated interfaces — not just traditional UI copy. 

What You'll Do :

• Own content design end-to-end for a product area: from early flow sketches through shipped, measured experiences. 
• Design conversational flows for chat-based and voice interfaces, including multi-turn dialogue, disambiguation, error recovery, and graceful fallback when the AI doesn't know the answer. 
• Write, test, and iterate on prompts and system instructions that shape AI-generated content surfaced to users — balancing tone, accuracy, brevity, and safety. 
• Partner with ML/AI engineers to evaluate model outputs for voice, clarity, bias, and hallucination risk, and build feedback loops to improve them over time. 
• Build and maintain content patterns, voice & tone guidelines, and a scalable content design system that covers both static UI and dynamic/AI-generated content. 
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and researchers from discovery through delivery; represent the user's need for clarity in every product decision. 
• Use qualitative research and quantitative metrics (task success, drop-off, CSAT, containment rate for AI flows) to inform and defend content decisions. 
• Review and elevate the work of other writers and designers; mentor junior content designers. 
• Advocate for accessible, inclusive, plain-language content across the product. 

What We're Looking For :

• 5+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, or a closely related field, with at least 1–2 years working on conversational or AI-driven surfaces. 
• Conversational design experience — you've designed chatbot, voice assistant, or AI-agent flows and understand turn-taking, context handling, and failure states. 
• Hands-on prompting / prompt engineering experience — you've written and refined prompts or system instructions for LLM-powered features, and you can talk concretely about how prompt structure affects tone, reliability, and safety of output. 
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong craft in traditional UX writing and at least one project involving conversational or generative AI content. 
• Comfort working directly with AI/ML teams — reading model outputs critically, giving structured feedback, and iterating quickly. 
• Strong systems thinking: you can design a single string and a scalable pattern in the same day. 
• Excellent editing skills and an ear for voice, tone, and plain language. 
• Experience partnering cross-functionally in a fast-moving, ambiguous product environment. 
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive writing practices. 
• Experience with tools like Figma, Ditto (or a similar content design/collaboration platform), a content-ops/localization platform, and an LLM playground or console (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, or similar). 

Nice to Have :

• Experience building a conversational design system or an AI content style guide from scratch. 
• Familiarity with agentic or RAG-based product patterns, multi-modal AI experiences, or evaluation frameworks for generative content. 
• Background in linguistics, taxonomy, or information architecture. 
• Prior experience shipping AI features at a B2B SaaS or Martech/AI company.
