We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build the next generation of geo-resiliency, replication, data protection, and business continuity capabilities for Azure Storage. In this role, you will work on some of the most challenging problems in cloud computing, developing services that protect exabytes of customer data, improve regional resiliency, and enable customers to confidently run mission-critical and AI-powered applications on Azure.
Azure Storage stores and protects exabytes of customer data across regions worldwide. The Geo Replication team is responsible for developing the technologies that provide industry-leading durability, availability, disaster recovery, and regional resilience. This role offers the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to one of Microsoft's largest cloud platforms while working on distributed systems at extraordinary scale.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
