 Commercial Banking Technology

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Technical Product Lead, Data, reporting to Senior Technical Product Manager.

Principal responsibilities

• Tech system development in Commercial Banking areas with focus on Data Engineering and Analysis, Data Platform Enhancement and Data Service support.
• Manage system development projects in Commercial Banking areas aligning with Agile and DevSecOps project management framework.
• Schedule and deliver system solutions in accordance with relevant business requirements.
• Lead and work closely with software engineers and developers in HK and China, to ensure the delivered projects, enhancements and support service can meet the budget, schedule and quality software in alignment with business strategy.
• Coach application developers on their job-related responsibilities; conduct performance reviews, appraisals and personal development planning
• Work with Group/Regional Tech to understand the Group’s direction and IT solutions supporting the respective business areas.
• Provide proactive consultancy to business/function stakeholders in formulating system solutions that can help them to drive revenue growth, improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Data Science / Statistics or a related discipline
• IT systems development experience with minimum 2 years or more in a manager role
• Proven project management skills and experience in managing data warehouse projects
• Solid experience in Data Warehouse, Data Engineering and Data Analytics, with relevant knowledge on business, banking products and domains.
• Solid experience in SQL, Python, RDBMS, Cloud, ETL Pipeline, Kafka / Event-driven Data Pipeline, Data Visualization
• Experience with agentic AI or AI-assisted developer tooling is a plus
• Great sense of ownership and self-motivated service mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
• Proven working experience of coordinating multi-location teams on development and implementation work
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate technical solutions for business’ understanding.
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)
• Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
