We are looking for an AI Governance Lead to join the Finance AI team at NVIDIA. This role will drive just enough process for compliance and security, without losing the innovation that defines our start-up culture. As AI agents and automation spread across Finance, our governance lead will build the intake, risk triage, and approval flow that lets the right tools move quickly and keeps the wrong ones away from financial data. Act as a trusted partner to Finance’s citizen developers, Internal Audit, Security, Legal, and IT while writing the playbook for how a finance org adopts AI without compromising the controls that protect it!

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the governance path for AI tools and agents across Finance.
• Set and enforce guardrails for agents that touch financial or regulated data in partnership with data owners, IT, and external vendors.
• Make it easy to do the right thing by providing clear, consistent, implementable guidance and documentation / documentation-as-code.
• Reduce process lift by creating reusable pre-approved patterns that developers and analysts can follow.
• Learn and use the latest AI technology while translating emerging AI-specific risks into practical, applicable decision criteria.

What we need to see:

• A track record of building a governance, controls, or process function from the ground up.
• Fluency in financial controls and SOX, plus knowledge of the broader regulatory landscape. Familiarity with data classification and third-party/vendor risk.
• Enough technical literacy in system architecture, Databricks, and AI technologies to ask the right questions, challenge a design, and know when an answer doesn't add up.
• 8+ years of professional experience across controls, audit, risk, governance, information security, technical program management, or a strong record in a related field.
• BS/MS in finance, accounting, information systems, or equivalent experience.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Experience governing or auditing AI, automation, or emerging technology in a regulated environment.
• Experience standing up cross-functional review or approval processes (architecture review boards, change advisory, vendor risk, or third-party AI review).
• Excellent communication skills, including experience driving decisions through complex environments.
• An enthusiastic consumer of AI research. You read about exploits and vulnerabilities and catalogue the risks and solutions!

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 136,000 USD - 212,750 USD for Level 4, and 148,000 USD - 235,750 USD for Level 5.Applications for this job will be accepted at least until October 3, 2026.
