Policy Lead, Global Policy and Standards, Monetization

• Anticipate policy issues facing product and technology platforms and develop policies and enforcement recommendations on how to address them.
• Lead, develop, and implement policies for Google products, with a view towards user safety and product quality.
• Influence product decisions and prioritization and improve user experience for policy-related issues through collaboration with Product Managers, Engineers, and other Trust and Safety teams.
• Drive awareness and understanding of our product policies within Google and across our user base through research to set industry standards.
• Be exposed to graphic, controversial, or upsetting content.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 7 years of experience in a policy, legal, Trust and Safety, or technology environment.

Preferred qualifications:

• JD, MBA or Master’s degree in a technical field.
• Experience in policy in the technology sector and key tech policy issues (e.g., privacy, safety, artificial intelligence, content moderation).
• Experience with the ads ecosystem or ad technology.
• Experience combatting online scams.
• Ability to translate complex issues into simple and clear language, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and navigate organizational boundaries.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
