Senior Data Scientist – GenAI Tribe

Do you have a passion for creating AI Agents and making sure they provide real value in a production setting? Join a team where you can be yourself, contribute your perspective, and build AI solutions that make a real difference across Danske Bank.

GenAI Tribe is Danske Bank’s centre for Generative AI. We focus on creating responsible AI solutions that support colleagues and customers across the Group. Working in partnership with product teams, engineers, risk specialists and compliance, we turn complex challenges into practical outcomes. Our aim is to support the safe and transparent use of emerging AI technologies across the organisation.

What will you be doing?

As a Senior Data Scientist in the GenAI Tribe, you will contribute to the design, development, monitoring and continual improvement of AI agents used across Danske Bank. You will work directly with models and tools, evaluate performance thoughtfully, and help ensure that every solution is reliable, safe and aligned with regulation. You will collaborate closely with colleagues from different disciplines as ideas progress from prototypes to fully supported solutions.

Your work  will  include:

• Designing, implementing and refining AI agents for colleague and customer use cases as part of our GenAI adoption cluster
• Developing evaluation approaches, metrics and monitoring systems that help us understand agent performance, safety and potential drift
• Working with product, engineering, risk and compliance teams to deploy and evolve agents in production , focusing on specific projects through time-bound engagements
• Exploring new technologies such as platforms, services and libraries and writing up your assessments of them to help guide larger architectural choices
• Contributing to shared standards for GenAI delivery, including testing, observability, documentation and lifecycle management
• Driving processes with a lot of autonomy, communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences and management

About you:

You enjoy working with others to understand problems and approach them in a thoughtful way. You bring experience with Generative AI and Python, and you are interested in building AI agents that are effective and functional. You value learning, enjoy knowledge-sharing, and can communicate complex topics in ways that make sense for different audiences.

Experience that would be helpful includes:

• Practical work with GenAI or LLM-based solutions, including Python libraries such as Strands for agents capable of using integrated tools (beyond simple RAG setups)
• Familiarity with evaluation and monitoring frameworks such as Arize Phoenix, LangWatch or Langfuse
• Experience with cloud environments or delivery practices (such as AWS AgentCore, CI/CD frameworks such as Terraform or Azure Pipelines)
• An interest in collaborating with stakeholders and supporting colleagues through mentoring or shared learning
