Job Description

Amazon's global Accounting organization supports financial reporting, internal controls, and intercompany and transfer pricing activities across Stores, AWS, Digital, Advertising, Payments, and International operations. We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Global Transfer Pricing Close and Reporting team. If you are a financial accounting professional who consistently exceeds expectations, dares to make bold decisions, and is motivated by challenges, Amazon is a place where your career can flourish.

Key job responsibilities
Lead key components of the accounting and reporting close process.
- Apply accounting and financial principles to support accurate financial reporting and sound decision making.
- Assess the effectiveness of controls in your area and participate in the design of new controls for emerging and growing business activities.
- Exercise judgment to drive decisions and keep projects moving to close the books each month.
- Take full ownership of your area and drive issues to resolution.
- Analyze complex processes and systems data to identify root causes and surface insights.

A day in the life
This role sits at the intersection of accounting, tax, and technology. You'll be involved in the monthly close cycle, operationalizing new intercompany agreements, testing calculations before they go live, supporting internal controls work, and jumping in on audit requests when needed.
What makes this role interesting is the variety. Some days you're deep in the numbers; other days you're working across teams. Some months are smooth; others ask you to troubleshoot and make judgment calls under pressure. If you enjoy solving complex problems and building real expertise in technical accounting, you'll find a lot to like here.
