Global Merchant & Network Services brings together American Express' merchant and network-related businesses, including relationships with merchants, issuers, acquirers, processors, and strategic partners globally.
The Network Product team develops and delivers secure, resilient, and scalable payment network capabilities. This includes Authorization, Tokenization, Authentication, Digital Wallets, Local Network solutions, and Network-to-Network integrations that support market expansion, regulatory requirements, and global interoperability.
We are looking for an experienced Network Product professional to drive the development and delivery of strategic payment network capabilities. The role requires strong knowledge of payment networks, issuing, acquiring, transaction processing, and digital payments, along with the ability to translate business and partner needs into clear product requirements and executable delivery plans.
Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills are critical. The individual will coordinate cross-functional workstreams, manage risks and dependencies, drive governance, and communicate progress and decisions effectively to senior leaders, internal teams, and external partners.
Develop and execute product roadmaps for payment network capabilities aligned with enterprise priorities, market needs, and regulatory requirements.
Lead end-to-end delivery of capabilities across Authorization, Tokenization, Authentication, Digital Wallets, Local Network solutions, and Network-to-Network integrations.
Translate business, customer, partner, and regulatory needs into features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery milestones.
Apply strong understanding of payment networks, issuing, acquiring, processing, transaction flows, and network specifications to guide product decisions.
Ensure solutions meet intended business outcomes and consider scalability, security, resilience, operational readiness, and interoperability.
Partner with Engineering and Quality Assurance teams across solution design, development, testing, implementation, and post-launch readiness.
Maintain integrated delivery plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and decisions.
Coordinate execution across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and external partner teams.
Proactively identify delivery risks and blockers, drive mitigation, and escalate matters requiring leadership attention.
Prepare concise executive updates, dashboards, roadmaps, and governance materials, translating complex topics for technical and non-technical audiences.
Build trusted relationships and influence decisions across global, cross-functional, and highly matrixed teams.
