We’re currently seeking an experienced colleague to join the team as a Senior Product Manager – Pricing and Billing.

You’ll proactively lead and deliver Global Payment Solutions (GPS) strategic projects across UK Commercial Banking (CMB), working closely with GPS Europe / Global and CMB UK to deliver a strategic pricing and billing solution.  GPS is a key product provider for the bank’s corporate customers, supporting clients ranging from business banking through to large corporates.

This position, within the Revenue Management team, was established to review the end-to-end UK pricing and billing landscape for GPS products and implement a strategic solution. You’ll have visibility with senior management, whilst reporting to the Revenue Management team lead, and will have line management responsibility. 

You’ll define and own requirements for the strategic global revenue management and billing platform, including ownership of the control environment and remediation activity.  There will also be an element of regulatory reporting.

In this role you’ll:

• Act as a subject matter expert on GPS products whilst leading UK CMB GPS strategic initiatives across pricing and billing, partnering closely with GPS Europe/Global and CMB UK to deliver the billing solution, owning the requirements for the global revenue management and billing platform, including defining needs, signing off requirements, assessing alternative solutions, and making approval decisions based on risk and control considerations
• Drive simplification for customers, frontline teams, and operations, ensuring proposed solutions improve usability and service outcomes
• Define the target operating model, roadmap, and strategy for billing across GPS products and services and map end-to-end pricing and billing processes by engaging SMEs (e.g., Product, Operations), documenting process flows, and identifying process/control gaps with clear remediation actions
• Provide project and management reporting, highlighting trends, product issues, risks, opportunities, and threats, and giving insight that supports risk management and regulatory compliance
• Own governance for UK GPS billing rules for both product enhancements and new product launches and manage regulatory and audit-related work, including legal/regulatory changes impacting billing/pricing, MSII issue management, RCRA/audit responses and remediation plans, and FCA reporting/redress workstreams where relevant
• Analyse data to identify remediation needs, including supporting customer refunds/redress activity in line with CMB Customer Redress governance decisions

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Demonstrate commercial banking or product management capability, with a solid background in commercial cash management and an understanding of how products perform end-to-end (pricing to invoicing to financial reporting)
• Experience of delivering payment and cash management product systems deployments required.  Pricing and billing systems experience within the wider banking sector would be an advantage
• Knowledge of banking operations, payment systems and technology; able to quickly understand complex architectures and translate them into clear requirements and controls
• Demonstrate analytical and data-driven approach, with advanced Excel capability and confidence working with large datasets to identify outliers, issues, and remediation actions
• Effective programme/project delivery skills, including planning, prioritisation and the ability to communicate with impact and influence and challenge constructively, building strong relationships across multiple stakeholders and organisational levels
• Apply a risk and control mindset, anticipating issues, strengthening controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant governance expectations, including the UK Product Governance and Sales policy and fair customer outcomes

This is a hybrid role based in London.

London office relocation: Between January and April 2027, many office-based HSBC employees in London will move from either 8 Canada Square or Queen Victoria Street to one of our new sites at St. Paul’s or Canary Wharf. Depending on when they join, successful candidates may start at an existing office before moving or join directly at a new location.
