Technical Program Manager, AI Safety and Security Launches, DeepMind

• Partner closely with GenAI Safety, Security, Trust and Safety, and Legal teams to manage the end-to-end operational lifecycle of model deployments.
• Streamline execution, refine operational processes, and implement tooling upgrades across all launch programs.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve critical bottlenecks to keep research and engineering teams moving quickly.
• Build consensus and influence key outcomes across teams without relying on direct authority.
• Author and maintain end-to-end launch playbooks, standardized templates, intake reviews, and go/no-go approval workflows.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience leading programs across multiple geographies and time zones.

Preferred qualifications:

• Strong understanding of ML/AI principles and distinctions from traditional software development.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing complex stakeholder relationships, executive communication, and resolving cross-team dependencies.
• Demonstrated success in fast-paced program execution with high ambiguity and experience managing product launches or horizontal technical programs.
• Dedicated to advancing AI safety and security with a strong commitment to deepening expertise in the field.
