Among the customer success and support roles listed on the board for New York City, the balance leans heavily toward experienced hires: most openings are at senior level, with the remainder at manager level. There are no mid-level or entry-level roles among those stating a seniority. A notable share of the open roles are relatively fresh, posted within the past month, while a similar proportion are older. Hiring is concentrated among a fairly small number of companies, with more than half of listed roles sitting at the five largest hirers. Because there is not yet enough weekly history, no comment on direction over time is made here.

Customer success roles sit between the product and the client, with the goal of ensuring that customers get lasting value from a technology platform or service. Day-to-day work typically involves onboarding new accounts, running business reviews, identifying expansion opportunities and resolving escalations before they become churn. In a city where the securities industry is a significant presence and where computer-related occupations are prominent across other sectors, customer success professionals often support technically sophisticated enterprise clients. The skills mentioned in listings here โ including Python, cloud platforms and large language models โ suggest that many of these roles serve AI or infrastructure products where some technical fluency is expected alongside relationship management.
Python is mentioned in the majority of descriptions, and AWS and GCP each appear in roughly two-fifths of them, so comfort with cloud environments and scripting is clearly valued. Agents, APIs and LLMs each appear in about a third of descriptions, pointing toward roles that involve AI-native or API-driven products. SQL, Kubernetes and Azure appear less often but are still present in a meaningful share, suggesting that technical depth varies by employer.
The employers' own advertised ranges, for individual roles at different levels โ not an average and not a market rate.
On-site work is by far the dominant arrangement among the roles listed here that state a work mode, accounting for nearly three-quarters of them. Hybrid arrangements make up most of the remainder. A small minority of roles are listed as fully remote. Candidates should expect that most employers in this set want regular office presence.
